Image Linking feature mainly allows the users to manage the storage location of images embedded on subsystems / blocks.
- Under the main menu go to Edit -> Preferences.
- Click on Image Linking label on the left hand side proceeds to "Image Linking" window
Block Image Browser helps to embed images on the subsystems / blocks by a single click. However at the back end, the subsystem / blocks gets masked and image path or file is provided
- By enabling the feature (1) the user would be warned about masking whenever they try to embed image on the regular subsystem
- By enabling the feature (2), the user would be warned whenever they try to embed image on non-image masked subsystem
Under "Block to Image Linking" label, there are options to choose the storage location of images embedded on subsystems / blocks
- By enabling the option (3), the images which were embedded on the systems are directly stored in the subsystems / blocks itself. So, there is no need to maintain separate folders to store the embedded images
- By enabling the option (4), the images which were embedded on the systems refers to the image file stored in a folder. The options under Use where to store helps to indicate whether the referred file is stored under the model contained folder or the user-defined folder
- By enabling the option (5), the copy of referred images gets stored in a folder. The options under Use where to store helps to indicate whether the copy of referred images has to be stored under the model contained folder or the user-defined folder
